Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
Our Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) is established to track tasks and deliverables, with distribution to a cognizant Government Action Officer, who will assign grades to each deliverable product based on its timeliness, technical content, quality and other agreed upon attributes and metrics. ILSS will review all work products and deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. A periodic review of the project quality program will be conducted by the ILSS QA Manager. The results of this review are communciated to Team ILSS PM for corrective action and to facilitate continuous improvement.
Our process-based structure of the Quality Management System (QMS) continuously demonstrates our capability to meet customer requirements, and applies to all aspects of our operation including: contracts management, subcontractor management, program management, systems engineering, courseware development, material procurement, and services. The certified quality system incorporates an approved software engineering and organizational systems engineering process that corresponds to the current CMMI Level 3 processes. Additionally, our program management practices include a strong Earned Value Management (EVM) accountability foundation to ensure that accurate and dependable cost and schedule metrics are available for every effort. Program metrics are collected and analyzed for organizational process improvement.
Constant monitoring and mitigation of program risks ensures program success and customer satisfaction. Our experience in operating under Military Standards MIL-I-45208 and MIL-Q-9858, supported by documented processes under the ISO 9001:2000 standard, provides the foundation for the standard of quality expected by industry and required by the Government. ISO 9001:2000 gives us the benefit of an objectively evaluated and enforced QMS. It is a tangible expression of our commitment to quality that is internationally understood and industrially accepted.
Our process-driven environment is absolutely essential for a quality program. Our corporate process is supported by ensuring that a QMS is documented and uniformly implemented throughout the corporation. This includes: management reviews, quality planning, document control, training/qualification of personnel, work environment and infrastructure, assessing customer perception, conducting internal compliance audits, monitoring and measurement of the process, control of nonconforming product, analysis of data to include trending, continual improvements, and maintaining a corrective/preventive system. Our QMS achieves the following:
Identifies the processes needed and their application throughout the organization
Determines the sequence and interaction of these processes;
Determines criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation and control of these processes are effective;
Ensures the availability of resources and information necessary to support the operation and monitoring of these processes;
Monitors, measures and analyzes these processes; and
Implements actions to achieve planned results and continual improvement of these processes.
